GYROTONIC® Method & GYROKINESIS® Method
GYROTONIC®
Sessions are designed to take the body beyond its current limitations. Students come out of a session with increased freedom of movement, greater strength, and more agility. Exercises are adapted to fit anyone’s ability—from those recovering from injury or living with a disability to elite athletes.
This three-dimensional spinal movement system was designed by dancer Juliu Horvath specifically to prevent and heal injuries. Students are taught on five different pieces of specialized resistance equipment which help to perform movements continually, without interruption, in circular, harmonious shapes. Circulation, stamina, endurance, and correct alignment are just a few of the benefits.
GYROKINESIS®
Addresses the entire body, opening energy pathways, stimulating the nervous system, increasing range of motion and creating functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. It is an original and unique method that coordinates movement, breath and mental focus.
Practiced on a mat and chair, without the feedback and guidance of equipment, students are more dependent on their body’s ability to sense its own movement as they explore seven natural spinal movements.

Zena Rommett Floor-Barre®
Zena Rommett Floor-Barre® is a gentle, highly-effective, therapeutic method. Floor-Barre™ lengthens, corrects alignment, and strengthens joints. It is doctor recommended for injury prevention, rehabilitation, and many muscular-skeletal aliments. Taught by our Floor-Barre® Certified instructor, Virginia Holte, ballet technique and alignment principles are translated to the floor, providing valuable information which a dancer can use to improve movement execution and alignment. Free from the usual affects of gravity, Floor-Barre™ provides opportunity to correct bad habits and gain deeper understanding of movement principles. It also helps increase the dancer’s awareness of weaknesses and helps to strengthen those areas.
Yoga
Our Yoga classes are designed to help all who participate with balance, clarity of the mind, flexibility, hip mobility/flexibility, posture improvement, stamina strength, muscle toning and stress relief.
Pilates Mat
Pilates Mat builds core strength and alignment with a carefully structured set of specific exercises. Recruiting the correct core muscles as well as letting go of unnecessary tension is the goal.
The BodyCodeSystem® has its theoretical roots in oriental traditions which, like acupuncture, yoga, Qigong and Feng Shui, are not limited to the physical body but have wide-ranging beneficial effects on the psychological well-being of the individual.
The BodyCodeSystem® tells us that the path to good health cannot be found by looking at anatomy and physiology alone, but that motor action is a determining factor. This is why all BodyCodeSystem® instructors are movement experts, who understand its full potential and are capable of decoding the complex movement patterns of each individual. This enables them to modify these movement patterns by means of specific exercise programmes that, as they correct and improve movement, result in improved functioning of the whole body.
